On March 22, 2008, The Victory Center held its Eighth Annual Starry Night Gala at Westview Country Club in Miami. Over 300 guests attended. They enjoyed a fabulous dinner and cocktails underwritten by Liquor Group. Tommy Bahama Ultra Premium Rum, the sole provider of Rum for the event, mixed mojitos and libations for the attendees. Guests danced to the sounds of the DJ Roy "Jazz" Grant of Event Ovation. The Gala raised $230,000 for The Victory School which will enable the school to maintain its quality one to one intensive behavioral therapy program. The honorees were Miami Dade Commissioner Sally A. Heyman, State Rep. Marcelo  Llorente, and State Rep. Juan Carlos "JC" Planas.
